Description:

Join us at Langston Hughes Cultural Arts Center (17th and Yesler) at 7pm May 19 for a special screening of Turn Off Channel Zero, a new film by Opio Sokone and Professor Griff. The Seattle screening, on Malcolm X's birthday, also marks Hip Hop Appreciation Week.

This film exposes the Viacom masters of trash television and the plot to use American culture (especially black culture) against itself. Many consider shows like "Flavor of Love" pure entertainment, but every form of media is designed to convey a message.
