1. The Reclaim the Media (RTM) DTV Converter Box Giveaway is only open to Washington State residents. This contest is void where prohibited by law.

2. Employees and dependent family members, fiscal affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies of Reclaim the Media and all partners associated with the Seattle DTV Assistance Centers are not eligible. The RTM DTV Converter Box Giveaway is governed by the laws of the United States and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

3. One winner will be selected by random drawing on each of the following four dates: March 1, 2009 at noon, April 1, 2009 at noon, May 1, 2009 at noon, and June 1, 2009 at noon, for a total of four winners. Each winner will receive a DTV converter box, specific make/model to be determined by Reclaim the Media; value $40-$60. Prizes must be accepted as awarded; no substitutions. Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Winners must respond to a congratulations email or phone call within 48 hours and provide a means to receive the prizes by mail. Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable.

4. Enter by submitting your name, address and phone number to seattledtv@reclaimthemedia.org with the subject line "DTV Converter Box Giveaway." Or, submit the same information via mail with a 3x5 card to Reclaim the Media DTV Converter Box Giveaway, PO Box 22754, Seattle WA 98122. The card must have your full proper name, full mailing address, phone, and e-mail address (if you have one). IMPORTANT NOTICE: Mailed entries must be postmarked by the 25th day of the month prior to a drawing date to be included in that drawing. Late entries will be included in the following month's drawing; entries postmarked after May 25 will be disqualified.

5. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received by the time of each drawing. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Prizes will be mailed within two weeks. Entrants agree to release Reclaim the Media, the Seattle DTV Assistance Centers, and all partners and affiliates from any and all liability resulting from participation in the RTM DTV Converter Box Giveaway. Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release Reclaim the Media and all of its programs, officers, directors, employees and agents from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.

6. Only one entry per person or household, please. Additional entries from one person or household will result in disqualification of that additional entry.

7. The winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and liabilities associated with each prize. Reclaim the Media reserves the right to require any forms for eligibility release of liability, prize acceptance and/or tax purposes within one month of notification. Noncompliance may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. RTM DTV Converter Box Giveaway entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the designated representative of Reclaim the Media, which are final on all matters pertaining to the RTM DTV Converter Box Giveaway.

8. Reclaim the Media is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected e-mail or mail or any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. If for any reason the RTM DTV Converter Box Giveaway is not capable of completion as planned, the RTM DTV Converter Box Giveaway can be canceled, terminated, modified or suspended at any time for any reason by the aforementioned Sponsor.

9. Contest entrants will be added to Reclaim the Media's list of community supporters, and as such will receive periodic email or postal notices about RTM activities. Entrants may opt out of email communications by including the phrase "no mail" on their contest entry. Reclaim the Media shall not use the name or likeness of contest entrants, including winners, for any promotional purpose without explicit permission.

10. Entrants agree to release Reclaim the Media, the Seattle DTV Assistance Center and all of its programs and all sponsors and partners from any and all liability resulting from participation in the RTM DTV Converter Box Giveaway or use of any prize won.
