Amy Goodman - Celebrating an expanding world of grassroots community journalism

Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman visits Seattle to kick off several days of events marking the tenth anniversary of the Seattle WTO. A benefit for KBCS 91.3 community radio.

KBCS, Reclaim the Media and the Seattle Plus 10 Organizing Committee present a benefit for KBCS 91.3FM Community Radio, featuring award-winning broadcast journalist and author Amy Goodman.

Amy Goodman, author of the newly-released collection of essays Breaking the Sound Barrier, is the host and executive producer of  Democracy Now!, a national, daily, independent news program airing on over 700 radio and television stations around the world. Goodman's investigative reporting has won many of the industry's top honors, including the George Polk Award and the Robert F. Kennedy prize for International Reporting.

This event kicks of a week of actions marking the tenth anniversary of the historic Seattle WTO, including a weekend-long People's Summit with a diverse lineup of speakers and workshops. Visit www.seattleplus10.org for complete information.
