Reclaim the Media Staff

Jonathan Lawson (Executive Director) has helped Reclaim the Media play a catalytic role in the growth of a national movement focused on media justice and democratizing media policy. Jonathan spent six years developing online communications and strategic campaigns for labor unions including CWA, AFSCME and SEIU. He sits on the advisory board for the Consumers Union's Hear Us Now project, and is a past board member of the Washington News Council. He is a four-year veteran of the Independent Media Center (Indymedia) movement, and has been involved with producing community radio since 1986. His articles on media issues have appeared in numerous publications. Jonathan has a Masters in Theological Studies from Harvard University.

Yuko Kodama (Managing Producer, Listen Up! Northwest) produces RTM's weekly radio program. She is a skilled host and editor with over 15 years' experience in community radio production in the US, Japan and Indonesia. She produces Listen Up! Northwest at the studios of RTM partner organization KBCS 91.3fm Community Radio in Bellevue, where she has served as a volunteer public affairs producer and trainer for several years.
Sam Kimball (Digital Media Literacy Project Coordinator) is spending a year working with Reclaim the Media as part of the Transmission Project's Digital Arts Service Corps program. With a background in education with a focus in curriculum design, she has worked with diverse communities of students in child care centers, public schools, and an adult literacy program. She was an education outreach intern at YES! Magazine, and has a BA from Hampshire College.
